BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

Hospital Hill High School was founded in 1977 at the present-day Hospital Hill Primary School in Parklands, Nairobi. It moved to its present site in Nyari Estate in 1979 as a Private Mixed Day Secondary School. The clients then were mainly Asians, Whites, and affluent Africans. Due to the relocation to the present site, the student enrolment declined drastically and the government took over the school in 1983 as a Harambee Assisted Doubled Stream Mixed Day School and later changed to boarding.  The girls were later faced out in 2015, and the school upgraded to an extra county boys boarding. The school now has a population of over 1000 students with five streams per class.
