The Cashless Transactions for a Convenient School Experience!
We are excited to announce that our school took a step towards modernization and convenience by implementing cashless transactions starting from Term 3, which commenced on May 10th, 2021 (during covid). In line with this initiative, we have moved away from traditional cash transactions within the school premises.
Key Points:
No Cash Allowed: To create a safer and more efficient environment, we kindly request that no student brings cash to school.
Visa Co-operative Bank Smart Cards: All students are required to possess a Visa Co-operative Bank Smart Card. Parents or guardians can load pocket money onto these cards using the mobile "Lipa Na M-Pesa" platform.
Application Process: Parents or guardians interested in acquiring the Visa Card should follow these steps:
- Complete the application form available for download.
- Attach clear copies of the following documents: National Identity Card or Passport, and KRA PIN Certificate.
- Endorse the completed form at the school before submitting it to the Co-operative Bank, Gigiri branch.
Processing Fee: A processing fee of Kshs. 600/= is applicable for the Visa Card.
Confirmation and Deposit Process: After applying, you will receive an SMS from the bank. This message will contain the pay bill and account number required for depositing your child's pocket money.
Important Note: It's important to highlight that only students with a valid Co-operative visa card will have access to school canteen services. To avoid any inconvenience, please ensure your child has their Visa Card at all times.
For New Parents/Guardians: If you are new to the school community, please download the application form from our website. Attach the necessary documents mentioned above and submit the completed form to the school for official stamping before proceeding to the Co-operative Bank.
