Hospital Hill High School Boys Shine at the 97th Kenya Music Festival in Meru County 2025
Our school proudly participated in the 97th Kenya Music Festival held in Meru County, 2025, where our boys showcased exceptional talent in three competitive items. They performed in Shairi, the KRA Song, and the Equity Song, attaining commendable positions 3 and 4, respectively.
The performances reflected not only creativity but also discipline, as the boys carried themselves with a high standard of decorum throughout the festival. The highlight of their presentation was the thrilling rendition of the "Bima ya Equity" Song, where they impressed the audience with their excellent use of instruments and captivating delivery.

The team was ably accompanied and guided by Madam Viola, Madam Jean, and Mr. Owino – Deputy Administration. Their presence and mentorship provided strong support to the boys, ensuring they remained focused and confident on stage.
The Principal, Mr. Bunyasi, also graced the festival to offer moral support, a gesture that greatly motivated the performers. We extend our sincere gratitude to the school administration for their continuous encouragement and commitment to nurturing talent. Special appreciation goes to Mr. Andrew Tumbo and his choreography team, whose professional training and guidance prepared the boys for such an outstanding performance.
Hospital Hill High School once again demonstrated its commitment to holistic education by emphasising the importance of music and the arts in student growth and development.
School Choir's Performance at the 2024 National Music Festival in Eldoret
The School Choir recently participated in the 2024 National Music Festival held in Eldoret, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication. The choir performed the KICD song and emerged in 8th position nationwide, a commendable achievement given the high level of competition at the event.
Participants and Accompaniment
The choir was accompanied by their music teacher and trainer, Mr. Allan Ndondo, whose expertise and guidance were instrumental in the choir's success. He was supported by Mr. Joseph Kulabusia and Mr. Michael Ouma, both of whom played crucial roles in preparing the team and ensuring that all logistical needs were met during the festival.
Performance and Achievements
The choir's performance of the KICD song was highly praised by the judges for its harmony, stage presence, and overall execution. Securing the 8th position on a national level is a testament to the hard work and commitment of both the students and the staff involved in this endeavour.
This achievement is a proud moment for our school, highlighting the choir's potential and the effectiveness of the music program under the guidance of Mr. Ndondo. We look forward to continuing to nurture and support the talents of our students in future events and competitions.
THE YEAR 2023
The music students under the patronage of Mrs. Musembi and assisted by Mr. Kulabusia had a remarkable success in the county competition. Their exceptional talent and dedication earned them a spot in the Nationals, where they represented our region in Nyeri.

They also had a successful run at the Nationals, and their commitment to music and the support they received from their mentors paid off once again. We are confident that they will continue to make us proud in future competitions. Their achievement highlights the importance of quality music education and the positive impact it can have on students' lives. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours and have no doubt that they will continue to shine on the national and international stages.

THE YEAR 2022
Our School Choir was able to represent the school and Nairobi county at the Kenya National Music festivals which were held in Kisumu in September 2022.
