Practical Work

Students are required to engage in practical art projects, allowing them to develop technical skills in various artistic mediums. These projects often involve creating original works of art, experimenting with different materials, and understanding the principles of design.

Examinations: Art and Design are assessed through both practical and theoretical examinations. Practical assessments involved creating artwork, while theoretical assessments tested students' knowledge of art concepts, art history, and design principles.

Home science is the science of a home and it includes all the things that concern the person, home, family members, and resources. It is the education for "better living" and the core of this education is the family ecosystem. The term Home Science is comprised of two

terms i.e. Home and Science. The home is where the family resides and science can be referred to as the knowledge of facts, laws, and various principles. Thus the combination of home and science altogether as a subject can be determined as the study which applies scientific knowledge in a systematic way to improve the quality of family life and the home in which it lives. It is the subject related to all our daily aspects, including food, clothing, shelter, resources, health, and services, and thus draws various principles of art and science. these principles when applied further develop a healthier and happier life.

All in all, the Technical Department is very dynamic contributing immensely to the overall performance of the school mean.

The department has a workforce of seven teachers. Namely Mr Jared Otwabe, Mr Crispo Owino, Miss. Roselyne Wegulo, Mr. Allan Ndondo, Mr. Haron Mukoya,  Mr. Omari Babu, and Mr. Michael Ouma
